ABOUT US

CCD is a forward-looking Specialty Coffee Processor in the Chiriquí province in Boquete, Panama. By transforming a traditional wet mill and drying patio into a modern state-of-the-art processing facility, CCD integrates art and specialty coffee in a unique and authentic space where artists are promoted and celebrated to inspire industry participants around the globe to support and demand new coffee production standards that guarantee higher incomes for growers and sustainable ecological practices for processing stations worldwide.

OUR VALUES

UNITY

UNITY

We are driven by our passion for uniting people across industries to collaborate and work towards a better future for coffee, and the people behind it.

CREATIVITY

CREATIVITY

We believe art reflects constant change. Being willing to re-think traditional practices in specialty coffee growing and marketing, we are promoting a much-needed value to change our industry: creativity

IMPACTFUL

IMPACTFUL

We are considerate of our role to play in the conservation of our environment. We know there is much work to do, but we are starting by producing 100% natural coffees. This limits our water use, and eliminates water contamination of our nearby water sources.

OUR COFFEES

At CCD, we are creating a community with coffee growers committed to using sustainable practices on their crops. We purchase their beautiful coffee cherries and process them at our station – our way. With our state-of-the-art facilities and our innovative processing methods, we aim to challenge the status quo by changing the way that coffee farmers have used to grow, process, and market coffee.

Inspired by the Neighbors & Crops coffee model of LA PALMA & EL TUCAN in Colombia, we have established cooperating relationships with coffee producers in Hornito, Renacimiento, and Boquete. By controlling every step of the process, we want to push the limits and create coffee profiles that span the flavor spectrum to form something breathtaking and unique.

The farms we work with are located at an altitude range between 1.300 and 1.800 m.a.s.l.

ART

A letter from our CCD
Art Programme Director

We are serious about art and its power to spark unity and change. We invited Maria Lucia Aleman, former Board Member and current Director at the Contemporary Art Museum of Panamá, to establish an art program that invites artists to step into our coffee world and shake it up with their point of view. We offer a space that celebrates self-expression by inspiring artists with our natural coffee as their colorful background.

A couple of months ago, I was invited to take over the creative and artistic direction for CCD. It has been an insightful process and experience —realizing the craftsmanship behind every single step and process behind the perfect cup is amazingly similar to that of the artistry behind a work of art. The more I learn about CCD´s vision and philosophy it is boldly evident to me that art is the perfect language to communicate and express its mission to be change-makers.
I would like to invite you to connect with our artists’ residencies, exhibition spaces, cultural lounge, and experience art & coffee as you have never before.

Maria Lucia Aleman.
